The HVAC issues have been resolved, and the building is in the process of cooling. All classes and activities will resume as normal beginning Wednesday, August 20th.
We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this situation. A special thanks goes to our maintenance crews for working around the clock to resolve the problem, and to our teachers and staff for their flexibility during this unexpected interruption.
We look forward to welcoming our Panthers back to campus tomorrow.

What brings a professor from Australia to Capps Middle School?
𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
Putnam City Schools was honored to welcome Professor Wesley Imms from the University of Melbourne to Capps Middle School. His visit highlighted our role in a global study focused on how learning environments impact student success. The DLR Group, who designed Capps, joined him in exploring how thoughtful design can support teaching and learning. We’re proud to represent Putnam City in this international research effort and excited to share the insights ahead.
🦊 We even had a surprise visit from a fox and her baby enjoying the Capps campus. Wonder if that fox knows Capps is home of the Wildcats…

She was one of twelve Putnam City science educators who spent part of their summer at the Oklahoma Science Teaching Association Conference learning new strategies, trading ideas, and getting inspired for the year ahead. We’re so proud of Eloise and are grateful for the curiosity, energy, and passion our science team brings to their classrooms every single day! #GoBoldly #OSTA #PCProud
