Three power claps for our Site Teachers of the Year! 👏👏👏 The PC Association of Classroom Teachers recognized all 27 of our Site Teachers of the Year at this week's Board Meeting. We are incredibly proud of these teachers and so thankful that they chose to teach in PC!
Huge congratulations to PC North Senior, Kha Truong! 🤩 Through the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship, Kha has been named a finalist and recipient of a full-ride plus expenses four-year scholarship to Stanford University!
The QuestBridge Match Program has over 25,500 applicants, 7,288 finalists, and this year, only 2,627 finalists matched with 52 college partners, which are all prestigious private universities. This highly competitive program connects high-achieving students who would otherwise not have the resources to attend prestigious private universities with opportunities to propel them to lives of fulfillment, meaning, and purpose.

On this last day of school before Winter Break, the halls were filled with laughter, joy, and holiday cheer. ❄️ From cozy holiday PJs to jingling holiday parties, it was a perfect day to deck the halls with memories that will last all season long. 🎄

Governor Kevin Stitt visited the PC Aviation Program at Wiley Post Airport today. He toured the facility, talked with our teachers and students, and then showed off his skills on the drone and flight simulator! 🛫 The students even got to see him take off from the airport on his way to his next stop.
Engaging conversations to memorable connections, student leaders to District leaders 💬 The Superintendent's Student Advisory continues to make its rounds about the District, stopping at PC North to hear from the students about their likes, dislikes, and wishes for the Panther community. High school students from Putnam City North recently shared their knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) with younger students at James L. Dennis Elementary, fostering communication skills and building connections across PC campuses.

🌱 PCN Home Of Rare Milkweed Plant Species 🦋
A rare plant species, the Zizotes Milkweed, is growing at Putnam City North! The Outdoor Classroom at PCN is a vibrant place for all types of plants, insects, and now the rare milkweed. A Conservation Biologist from the OKC Zoo came out and surveyed the plants this week and found about 20 more milkweed plants growing. There are 29 recordings of this rare milkweed in Oklahoma, 5 in Oklahoma County, and 2 of those are at PCN! We can't wait for all the monarch butterflies to find the milkweed plants next!
