Spring break is right around the corner which means April State Testing Season is too!
State law requires that students meet state testing requirements in order to graduate from high school. These testing requirements include the ACT (administered during a state testing window), the CCRA History Assessment, and the CCRA Science Assessment. These assessments are taken during students' junior year.
PC North Juniors will test on the following days:
Wednesday April 2nd - ACT
Tuesday April 8th - CCRA Science
Tuesday April 15th - CCRA History
ACT Information
Wednesday April 2nd, will be a VIRTUAL DAY for grades 9, 10 and 12. All 11th graders, including AM Francis Tuttle, AM Aviation, and Virtual students, will report to PC North by 8:30am. This will NOT be a late start day and buses will run at their normal times. Students may check in to their testing rooms beginning at 8:20am. Students do NOT need to register with ACT for the state test.
12th grade students who have not met state testing requirements for either ACT or the US Naturalization test will be notified after Spring Break and should report to campus on April 2nd. Testing must be completed within this state testing window to count towards graduation in May.
Make-up ACT testing has been scheduled for April 24th.
Juniors will complete the Non-Instructional portion of the ACT on Wednesday March 26th during Panther Time. This process includes setting up their myACT account so that they will be able to access their scores and send to colleges if desired. 11th grade students who miss Panther Time on 3/26 should Mrs. Wiley in the Counseling Office before April 2nd to complete this step. Students who do not complete the Non-Instructional portion prior to testing, will be provided information and instructions on how to complete it after testing.
Science & History Information
The Science and History tests will take place during 2nd and 3rd hour on their designated testing days. Morning Francis Tuttle and Aviation students will attend a make-up session during 5th and 6th hour on those testing days. Additional make-up days will be scheduled as needed.
12th grade students who have not met state testing requirements for Science and/or History will be notified of their testing date and location no later than April 4th. Testing must be completed within this state testing window to count towards graduation in May.
Testing will be completed using iPads. Please make sure that student's come to school with their iPads fully charged and updated on all testing days.
